Sebastian Chan is Director of Digital & Emerging Media at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York. His work currently focuses on the building of digital content and experience into the physicality of the museum itself as Cooper-Hewitt reinvents itself as a ’21st Century design museum’. Previously he was based at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum, and he has worked as a museum consultant for institutions throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. He writes the popular Fresh & New blog.

Seb will be in conversation with Associate Professor David Carlin from RMIT University’s School of Media and Communication and will talk about his wide ranging experience in open access, mass networked collaboration, digital strategy and cultivating innovation in the cultural sector.

Please join us at this free public event, bookings not required.
